Hello, I am grateful for your time in reading this. My name is Katrina Spohn and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (with supervision designation) in Ohio. I come to you with 10 years of experience in direct clinical work. I have worked in a variety of settings (community, home, office-based), but was enthralled with the emergence of telehealth service delivery. I am deeply passionate about the work that I do with clients. I am a highly attuned individual, who holds a great deal of empathy and compassion. When I am with you, I am with you. I want to help support you to speak the unspeakable; put into words that which seems so overwhelming to decipher. I am not a doctor, I am a guide and partner in your life's journey. I am eclectic in style and will adapt an individualized approach in order to best meet each of my client's needs. I am extremely open and receptive, and ready to really listen.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we will introduce ourselves and I will reflect on the highlighted concerns you currently have that brings you to therapy, as well as history. We will discuss what services will look like in our work together. I will answer any questions you may have and gather your thoughts on what you envision things looking like by the end of therapy. I will support you in identifying key goals you would like to work towards. I will also assess what styles may be effective/not effective in supporting you and explore what you are looking for.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am a seasoned clinician with a wealth of knowledge regarding psychology, psychotherapy, and emotional attunement.

Attachment-based
Attachment-based treatment has been an intense focus throughout my career and an integral lens that I hold. The relationships that we have forged through early life experiences impact everything and have shaped who we are in the present moment. In my work, I dare to dig deep-- which requires getting to the core of the roots. This work is very hard, but with a skilled, compassionate support in a safe environment, it can be the most rewarding choice one makes to unpack what has brought each of us to who we are today. An Attachment-based treatment focus formulates a rich understanding of one self in relation to the world around us.
