About me

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia, specializing in empowering youth and fostering healthy family dynamics with an attachment-focused approach. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I have certifications in complex trauma, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Play therapy, and EMDR. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. I offer evidence-based interventions to help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms and build positive self-esteem. Additionally, I am proficient in utilizing validated approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) to help clients manage challenging emotions, cultivate resilience, and achieve lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other a bit, and then we’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing. This will help me come up with a plan that’s just right for you as we continue working together. Make sure you complete your forms before the session, and let me know if you have any questions. If you are a child or adolescent under 18, I will spend the first half of our initial session talking with you and the other half with your parents. If you are a minor and want play therapy, please note that I will have a virtual intake session with your parents to learn more about you and your parents' concerns. In the next session, I will begin individual play therapy with you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have extensive experience working with children in a variety of clinical settings. Working with immigrant families from diverse cultural backgrounds in the Metro DC area, I’ve seen firsthand the need to bridge cultural and emotional gaps between children and their parents. This has taught me the value of fostering open communication and strengthening family connections, especially for adolescents and their families. During treatment, you can expect to feel understood and genuinely supported by me.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I partner with children, teens, young adults, and their families using a trauma-informed, attachment-focused lens to nurture resilience, connection, and growth. Since 2016, I’ve been helping clients find their voice, rebuild trust, and reconnect with themselves and one another. I’ve worked in a range of clinical settings, including intensive in-home services and outpatient programs. My work with immigrant families from diverse cultural backgrounds has shown me how important it is to bridge cultural and emotional gaps between children and their parents.
