My name is Darnell Blocker and I have been in the field for fifteen years. I absolutely love and enjoy what I do everything and more than this, I absolutely love and enjoy seeing the growth of my clients. For me professionally, there is no greater joy and fulfillment to get into the trenches with my clients and whatever their needs are cognitively, emotionally, socially, and professionally, wherever each are appropriate.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The clients can expect in the first session is the allowance of comfortability to relinquish all of their emotions and cognitive defenses for freer thoughts, emotions, and better sleep that night. Thereafter, we can spread the cards out of what has been relinquished in the first session to begin addressing each individually.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strength(s) as a provider is to be laid-back, a listener, comfortable, and genuine and immediate supporting ally for the client across their needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

The clients that I am best positioned to serve are persons, whom are exploring their liberation. Whatever the direction of liberation the client is seeking positively and extensively, I am here to lock hands with the client to assist with guiding and supporting them through the finish line of liberation.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

The approach here is to explore life options and inner self-motivation toward the goal we create with one another and your path toward to that destination of mental and emotional satisfaction.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

The approach here is to explore inner reservations, if any, surrounding the Client's goal or life dilemma and how can this circumstance be accepted satisfactorily or exploring pivoting options satisfactorily.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The approach here is to explore the cognitive functioning, both short term and long term, and how to create coping approaches to assist with controlling those thoughts versus allowing the thoughts to control the Client.

Motivational Interviewing

The approach is to explore and establish cognitive approaches toward positive self motivation toward the Client's goal(s), whether in career, relationship, life goals, etc.
