am a licensed clinical social worker who provides compassionate, practical, and individualized therapy for adolescents, adults, couples, older adults, and caregivers. My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each client’s unique experiences. I help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping and communication skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel heard, accepted, and empowered to move forward without judgment or pressure.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what you would like to change or improve. I will ask about the concerns that brought you to therapy, your current circumstances, relevant history, personal strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. You do not need to arrive with everything organized or know exactly what to say. We will move at a pace that feels manageable, and you may share only what you feel comfortable discussing. I will explain my approach, answer your questions, and work with you to develop an initial plan that reflects your needs and priorities. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about the next steps in your care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, honesty, curiosity, and practical problem-solving to my sessions. I understand that many clients have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, criticized, or responsible for everyone around them. I work to create a space where clients can speak openly without feeling judged or dismissed. My style is supportive but not passive. I will listen carefully and hold space when that is what you need, while also helping you recognize patterns, consider different perspectives, and challenge beliefs or behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. I use humor when appropriate and believe therapy can be both meaningful and human. My life and professional experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, compassion, accountability, and meeting people where they are. I focus on helping clients build insight and develop realistic tools they can use in everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adolescents, adults, couples, older adults, and caregivers who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, caregiver stress, or major life transitions. They are open to gaining insight, learning practical coping skills, and examining patterns that may be keeping them stuck. They do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy—only a willingness to be honest, curious, and actively involved in the process.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients make room for difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to control every decision. Together, we identify what matters most to you, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical steps toward a more meaningful life. Rather than trying to eliminate every uncomfortable feeling, we focus on building flexibility, self-compassion, and the confidence to move forward in ways that reflect your values.

Attachment-based

I use attachment-based therapy to help clients understand how early relationships and past experiences may influence their current emotions, expectations, and relationship patterns. Together, we explore concerns such as fear of rejection, difficulty trusting others, people-pleasing, conflict, or feeling emotionally disconnected. The goal is to build greater self-awareness, strengthen communication, develop healthier boundaries, and create more secure and satisfying relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, examine whether those thoughts are accurate or useful, and develop healthier ways of responding. I also help clients practice practical coping, problem-solving, communication, and behavior-change skills they can use in everyday life to reduce distress and make progress toward their goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive reactions, improve relationships, and cope more effectively with stressful situations. Together, we practice skills for staying present, tolerating distress, communicating needs, setting boundaries, and responding thoughtfully rather than reacting automatically. I balance acceptance and compassion with practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems therapy to help clients understand the different “parts” of themselves that may hold fear, anger, shame, self-criticism, or a strong need for control. Rather than judging these reactions, we explore what each part is trying to protect. This approach can help clients develop greater self-compassion, reduce inner conflict, heal from past experiences, and respond to current challenges with more clarity and confidence.
