New to Grow
Hi my name is Keeli! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a background in mental health case management, school-based services, community mental health and private practice. I believe in meeting people where they are and feel one of my best strengths is the connection I have built with so many clients throughout my years. My goal is to work in collaboration to determine your needs and what you want to get out of therapy so we can make a plan that fits best with you. I want to be an unbiased, but honest support as you work towards your goals and healing!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is an intake session. It will be a time for us to get to know each other better and figure out what brought you to therapy. There will be Q&A and time to discuss your strengths, needs, and goals for what you want to get out of meeting together. From there we can make a plan for following sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I utilize evidence-based strategies and tools in a natural way that does not make sessions feel overly clinical. I enjoy connecting with people, getting to know them and utilizing their strengths in ways to make positive changes in their lives. I am known for being very empathetic but also honest and direct and will challenge clients as needed for their benefit. I like to meet people where they are and support them in whatever goals they have for therapy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have experience with all ages ranging from 3 to retirement age. I spent several years in middle and high schools working with teenagers. More recently, I have seen a lot of college students and adult females struggling with anxiety, depression, life stress or transitions, and relationship trauma and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Together we can identify thought patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs and practice new skills.
Motivational Interviewing
Change can feel complicated, MI is used to create space to explore ambivalence without judgment. Together, we can identify what matters to you, increase self-awareness and support you in making intentional decisions.
Trauma Informed Care
I practice from a trauma-informed lens, recognizing how past experiences can shape current thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
CPT is designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. I utilize CPT curriculum when an individual feels like it could be helpful for them to work through past trauma.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation is an important part of my approach. I believe understanding the "why" behind thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can be empowering and help us feel equipped and confident to navigate challenges.
