(she/her)
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained my master's degree from Fordham University. My background is in Crisis Intervention. For about 10 years, I have been working with adults experiencing different mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I use my genuineness and compassion to connect with my clients to offer the necessary advice and guidance they need. I'm fluent in Spanish.
In our first session, my goal is to stablish a comfortable setting for you to feel free and share the struggles or issues that led to our session. Then together, we will create a tailored plan for us to work in follow up sessions.
As a therapist, my biggest strengths are the ability to actively listen, empathize, and support those with whom I work without judgment and with an open mind.
Young to older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my years of experience, I have found this modality to be very effective in helping clients cultivate awareness, be nonjudgmental, reduce stress, and better self-regulate.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
When applying CBT, I can guide my clients to understand how their thoughts can impact their moods, feelings, and behaviors positively or negatively. Clients will also learn to recognize intrusive and unhealthy thoughts interfering with their functioning and be able to reframe these thoughts.
Grief Therapy
I utilize Grief Counseling to help those of you who have experienced a loss or multiple losses. Grief counseling provides clients with the unconditional support needed to process their sorrow, pain, and other emotions that are natural of grief.
