Hi there! My name is Kassy and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I attended UCLA for my undergraduate and CSU Sacramento for my Masters in Science for counseling. I have been providing psychotherapy for 7 years. I love to support individuals explore and identify how they want life to be and help them get there.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I tell my clients that the first session is always the most boring and may seem tedious--it involves discussing screeners that were filled out and me asking questions to get to know you better. At the first session is where we determine if you will benefit with me as your therapist, because your therapy process is my highest priority; I want to make sure you are comfortable. We will also identify some goals you want to work on and create a plan on how we can get you there through therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my short 7 years of providing psychotherapy, I have learned that the best way to support anyone is to be human. I put myself in the shoes of a client; I don't need someone who is going to be some expert and tell me what I should and should not do. That would make me RUN as far away as possible. My greatest strengths as a therapist is that I am flexible, understanding, and collaborative. Life is hard, and there are so many influences that contribute to daily stressors. So let's sit together and identify what is going on in order to create a plan that will make life a bit easier to breathe.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

As typical as it may sound, my method is very ecletic as I believe that the process of therapy is ever-changing based on the individual. It is important for the therapy process to be flexible in order to ensure each client is able to focus on their goals, not just for treatment, but for their daily life as well.
