Deciding to begin your therapeutic journey can feel overwhelming and sometimes impossible. My goal is to create a safe environment for you to grow, succeed, and explore the things that you have been struggling with. This could be feelings of anxiety, trauma, communication issues, difficulty establishing boundaries, toxic relationships with family or friends, or a major change in your life that has left you feeling “what do I do now?” Our work together will include identifying triggers and patterns of behavior, as well as recognizing roadblocks and reframing negative thoughts.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will take time to get to know one another and discuss what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your current concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I will also review confidentiality, discuss how sessions are structured, and answer any questions you may have about therapy. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas for growth to help guide our work moving forward. This session is designed to be collaborative and supportive, allowing you to share at your own pace as we start building a foundation of trust and understanding.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique as a therapist is my down-to-earth approach and my commitment to truly listening to my clients on a personal level. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported every time we meet. I never end a session without checking in to ensure you feel emotionally grounded and safe, what I like to call “closing the book for today.” My goal is for each session to leave you feeling understood, cared for, and one step closer to healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals, couples, and families who are seeking a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment to create meaningful change in their lives. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate and goal-oriented, helping clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck and develop healthier ways to think, feel, and connect with others.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

As a therapist, I incorporate psychoeducation to help clients better understand what they’re experiencing. By learning about their symptoms, diagnosis, and how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect, clients are empowered to make informed choices and develop effective coping strategies. I believe that knowledge reduces fear and builds confidence in managing life’s challenges.

Strength-Based

As a therapist, I utilize a strength-based therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and enhancing clients’ existing abilities and inner resources. This perspective encourages empowerment, resilience, and personal growth by shifting focus from deficits to strengths.

Grief Therapy

As a therapist, I provide grief therapy to support individuals and families in processing loss, adjusting to life changes, and finding meaning after bereavement. My approach focuses on creating a compassionate and safe environment where clients can explore emotions related to grief, develop healthy coping strategies, and gradually rebuild a sense of hope and purpose. Interventions may include aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative processing, and mindfulness to promote emotional healing and resilience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a therapist, I practice person-centered therapy, a compassionate and collaborative approach that honors each individual’s capacity for growth and self-understanding. I believe that healing happens within a safe, supportive relationship where clients feel genuinely heard, accepted, and valued. In my work, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. Rather than giving advice or directing sessions, I support clients in exploring their thoughts and feelings at their own pace, helping them reconnect with their inner strengths and develop greater self-trust. My role is to walk alongside clients as they gain clarity, self-acceptance, and confidence in making choices that feel right for them.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a therapist, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a collaborative and goal-oriented approach that focuses on clients’ strengths, resources, and possibilities for change. Rather than dwelling on problems or past difficulties, I help clients identify what is already working in their lives and build practical solutions that move them toward their preferred future. My work emphasizes hope, empowerment, and clear, achievable goals. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to support them in recognizing their abilities, developing confidence, and creating meaningful change—often in a short period of time.
