New to Grow
I am a licensed psychotherapist, sex educator, and creative committed to helping clients navigate mental health, relationships, sexuality, and identity with honesty and care. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices with a sex-positive, culturally responsive lens. Clients describe me as compassionate yet direct, empowering them to reframe challenges, honor their truths, and build resilience. I create space where healing, pleasure, and personal growth can co-exist.
During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and goals, while also giving you space to share what feels most important. Together, we’ll co-create a plan that feels realistic and supportive, so you leave with clarity on next steps.
My strengths lie in blending clinical expertise with creativity and cultural humility. I provide a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen and respected in all aspects of their identity. I’m skilled at helping clients reframe challenges into opportunities for growth, integrate sexuality and mental health, and use their own strengths to build resilience. Clients often describe me as direct yet compassionate, practical yet empowering.
I work best with adults who are ready to explore themselves more deeply—whether you’re managing stress, anxiety, or depression, healing from trauma, navigating polyamory or kink, or seeking more fulfilling relationships. My clients value honesty, cultural awareness, and sex-positive, judgment-free care. You don’t have to have it “all figured out”—just a willingness to show up for yourself and your growth.
I use CBT to help clients recognize and restructure unhelpful thought patterns. In practice, this looks like teaching clients how to identify distorted thinking, track automatic thoughts, and apply reframing techniques. I integrate worksheets, journaling prompts, and live text-based interventions that allow clients to practice skills in real time. My background in clinical social work and years of CBT-informed practice help me tailor interventions for anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and sexual health concerns.
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients externalize their challenges and re-author their personal stories in ways that highlight resilience, strength, and self-defined meaning. My experience with this modality has shown that when clients can separate their identity from their problems, they gain more freedom to create new possibilities for themselves. In sessions, I guide clients to explore the dominant cultural or familial narratives shaping their lives, and then work collaboratively to construct alternative stories that affirm their values, identities, and hopes. I often incorporate writing, storytelling, and creative reflection exercises. For clients navigating complex issues—such as trauma, sexuality, or identity development—this approach allows them to reclaim power and agency over their life story.
I use a strength-based approach to help clients recognize and build on the skills, resilience, and resources they already possess. My experience with this method has shown that when clients identify their existing capacities, they become more confident and motivated to face challenges. In practice, I highlight client successes, reframe struggles as opportunities for growth, and encourage the use of personal, cultural, and community strengths in treatment. This often includes reflective questioning, affirmations of progress, and collaborative goal-setting. For clients managing trauma, relationship dynamics, or life transitions, this approach reinforces self-efficacy and empowers them to move toward lasting change.
