I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) who offers a supportive, compassionate space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, substance use concerns, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, with a strong emphasis on building trust and emotional safety. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change so clients can feel more confident, balanced, and empowered in their daily lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we’ll focus on building comfort, trust, and understanding. This is a space for you to share what brings you to therapy at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your experiences, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas of focus and discuss how we can work collaboratively moving forward. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, our first session is about connection, clarity, and creating a supportive foundation.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is being an active, attentive listener. I take time to truly understand my clients’ experiences, emotions, and concerns, helping them feel seen, supported, and respected throughout the therapeutic process.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or unsure of their next steps but are open to support and growth. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, substance use concerns, or major life transitions. They often care deeply about others and are learning how to prioritize themselves, set healthier boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. If you’re seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change, we may be a good fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical coping strategies to support emotional regulation, problem-solving, and healthier responses to stress. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, empowering clients to build skills they can apply both in and outside of sessions.
Grief Therapy
I support clients as they navigate loss, change, and life transitions by providing a safe, compassionate space to process grief at their own pace. Grief therapy helps clients explore emotions related to loss, honor their experiences, and develop coping strategies that support healing, meaning-making, and resilience over time.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses in the present moment without judgment. Through grounding techniques, breathwork, and reflective practices, clients learn to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate greater balance and self-compassion.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients who may feel ambivalent about change. This collaborative, nonjudgmental approach helps clients explore their values, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful and sustainable changes aligned with their goals.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation to help clients better understand their mental health symptoms, emotional responses, and coping patterns. By providing clear, accessible information, clients gain insight into their experiences, normalize challenges, and develop practical tools to support growth, self-awareness, and informed decision-making.
