About me

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience helping people feel more grounded, capable, and connected to themselves again. I work with teens and adults who are carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD-related struggles, or the weight of trying to manage everything at once. My approach is honest, supportive, and focused on helping you build a life that feels manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you want to be.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you can expect a warm, structured conversation where we get clear on what’s been troubling you and what you want from therapy. I’ll ask about your concerns, your history, your strengths, and what you’re hoping to improve. You set the pace. I never push clients to share more than they’re ready for. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a better understanding of your symptoms, the direction we’ll take, and the next steps to help you feel more steady and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths lie in blending clinical expertise with a straightforward, compassionate approach. I’m skilled in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic-based strategies that help clients manage stress and build emotional regulation. I’m known for being honest, grounded, and able to handle complex life experiences without judgment. My background across hospitals, community mental health, private practice, and supervisory roles allows me to adapt to a wide range of needs and provide care that is practical, empowering, and deeply person-centered.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m the best fit for clients who are motivated for change—even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. I work especially well with individuals who are navigating self-doubt, anxiety, perfectionism, trauma histories, major life transitions, or the pressure of juggling multiple roles. My ideal clients share a desire to understand themselves more deeply, learn practical coping skills, and build healthier patterns in their daily lives. They want relief, clarity, and a safe place to be real without judgment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. In my practice, we focus on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, building healthier coping strategies, and creating practical steps clients can use in daily life. With 20+ years of clinical experience, I’ve used CBT across many settings to help clients reduce anxiety, depression, and overwhelm while improving emotional regulation and day-to-day functioning.

Trauma Informed Care

My approach is grounded in safety, empowerment, and pacing. I help clients understand how trauma affects the mind and body, build stronger emotional regulation skills, and gently process painful experiences without re-traumatizing themselves. I’ve worked extensively with survivors of childhood trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and significant loss. This method guides much of my work with clients navigating PTSD, complex trauma, grief, and identity disruption.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness to strengthen awareness, reduce reactivity, and create more intentional emotional responses. Clients learn grounding practices, breathwork, body awareness, and skills to manage rumination, stress, and anxiety spikes. I’ve incorporated mindfulness across all levels of care and find it especially helpful for clients with ADHD-related challenges, chronic stress, and those juggling multiple roles or major life transitions.

Somatic

I integrate body-based tools that support nervous system regulation—grounding exercises, breathwork, movement, and strategies that help clients recognize and shift stress activation in the body. These methods are especially effective for trauma, chronic stress, medical trauma, and clients who feel “stuck” in fight-or-flight or shutdown states.

Strength-Based

I see clients as the experts of their own experience. I use a collaborative, empowering approach that highlights resilience, honors each client’s lived experience, and adapts to their unique needs. This method guides the tone of my work—direct, supportive, and focused on growth.
