LMFT, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, safe space where you or your child can be yourself, express emotions freely, and begin to heal. You’ve already taken an important first step by recognizing your needs and seeking support—therapy is a journey of courage and growth, and I’m honored to walk alongside you in it. With nearly four decades of experience in mental health and early childhood development/education, I bring a deep understanding of both emotional and developmental needs across all ages and developmental levels. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist with extensive training in EMDR and certification in the Nurturing Parenting Program. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and tailored to each client’s unique goals. Outside of the therapy room, I recharge through hiking, gardening, photography, and cooking—all ways I stay mindful and connected to what matters most.
Before our first meeting, I’ll send over your intake forms so we can spend our session getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, current challenges, and the type of support you’re looking for. I’ll also review any questions you have about how therapy works and introduce tools Grow Therapy offers to help you track your progress. My goal in this first meeting is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and confident about the next steps in your healing journey.
Clients often describe me as down-to-earth and nurturing. I strive to create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where it feels safe to talk about even the hard things. With many years of experience working with children, I understand the power of play as a natural way to express emotions and process experiences —something that can be beneficial for adults, too! I balance warmth and encouragement with honest, compassionate feedback. I’ll celebrate your progress and also gently challenge you when it helps you grow.
I work with children (ages 4 and up), adolescents, adults, parents and families seeking support for a variety of emotional and relational challenges. Whether you’re looking for short-term, solution-focused therapy or long-term healing, I adapt my approach to meet your needs. My therapeutic style combines trauma-informed care (including EMDR), cognitive-behavioral techniques, and play therapy for children. When working with families, I emphasize healthy communication, attachment, and collaboration between parents and children while maintaining confidentiality and trust. I also support clients navigating life transitions, grief and loss, and the emotional impact of stress or seasonal changes. No matter where you are in your journey, therapy can help you rediscover balance, build coping skills, and reconnect with hope.
I am fully trained in Child, adolescent and adult EMDR and have 14 years experience. I can use it stand alone or in conjunction with other modalities such as play therapy
This modality describes me best as I pull from multiple modalities to find what works for you.
