About me

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. Seeking support is a courageous step, and my goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are. In our work together, you’ll find warmth, humor, and honesty — because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. I am compassionate and dedicated to supporting individuals meet their goals and I understand that everyone's journey is unique. I have specific expertise in anxiety, depression, and substance use / misuse particularly among adolescents and young adults. With a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, I integrate evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness strategies to support meaningful and lasting change. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel heard, empowered, and supported on their journey to wellness...whatever that means for them.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You've taken the first step—come as you are. After reviewing consents, we’ll spend much of our first session with me listening closely to understand what brings you in, why now and what you hope to achieve. In order to support you on your journey I must first understand your goals; and from there, we’ll explore creating a path forward that feels supportive, empowering, and uniquely yours.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

You are the expert and author of your own story, and it is my privilege to support you on your journey. I believe that authenticity is essential in creating the psychological safety necessary for individuals to engage in the discomfort that meaningful growth requires. My calm and sincere presence helps cultivate a space where you feel empowered to express your true self without fear of judgment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Whether you are mandated to make change or are personally ready for change; lets explore it together. I believe in an individual's capacity for growth and change. I encourage active engagement in your goals; and by actively working toward your goals, you lay the foundation for meaningful progress and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been a "tool" in my toolbelt of service provision for over twenty years. CBT has been proven to be an effective strategy with supporting diverse populations through a variety of challenges ranging from depression, anxiety and substance use to complicated relationship and family dynamics.

Motivational Interviewing

With over twenty years of training and direct experience working with individuals that struggle with substances, Motivational Interviewing (MI) has been an effective intervention to support individuals on their road to what recovery means for them. I support without judgement and shame; I invite individuals to search for and identify their goals and discover attainable ways to achieve them.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy is less about "fixing" what feels broken and more about gaining self-awareness of oneself—to a place of calm awareness that’s always been there, beneath the noise of everyday life. At its heart, mindfulness invites you to pause, breathe, and truly notice what’s happening in the present moment—your thoughts, your emotions, the sensations in your body—without trying to push anything away or hold anything too tightly. It’s about learning to meet your experience with kindness, even when it’s difficult.
