About me

Hi, I’m Stephanie, a trauma therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through healing, growth, and self-discovery. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, and the challenges of everyday life — whether you're facing a major transition, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or simply needing space to reconnect with yourself. Above all, I aim to provide a warm, open, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe enough to be fully yourself. I believe that therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen and supported. Through our work together, we will focus on building effective coping skills, deepening self-awareness, and developing the tools needed to manage life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals, any current challenges you're facing, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. I’ll also ask some background questions to help me get a fuller picture of your experiences, but we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether I’m the right fit for your needs. Most importantly, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where my clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance, knowing that meaningful change begins with trust and connection. Clients often share that they feel accepted without judgment, which allows them to explore even the most vulnerable parts of their experience. I strive to strike a balance between deep empathy and active, engaged collaboration. I don’t just listen—I help my clients connect the dots, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move toward insight and change. My style is warm, direct, and attuned; I tailor my methods to meet each client where they are, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy, etc. I approach therapy not as an expert with all the answers, but as a partner in my clients growth and healing process. Ultimately, what sets my work apart is my ability to hold both depth and direction—to help my clients feel deeply supported while also fostering momentum and meaningful progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m especially honored to work with clients who are trauma survivors or those struggling with anxiety. If you’ve experienced overwhelming or painful events—whether recent or from the past—and find yourself carrying that weight in your body, mind, or relationships, you’re not alone. Many of my clients come feeling stuck in patterns of fear, hypervigilance, or emotional overwhelm, unsure how to find relief or regain a sense of safety. If you’re someone who often feels anxious, tense, or worried but also deeply longs for peace, connection, and a life where anxiety doesn’t control your choices, I’m here to walk alongside you. You may be ready to gently explore the root causes of your distress, understand how trauma or anxiety impacts your daily life, and develop tools to reclaim your sense of calm and agency.

My treatment methods

EMDR

In my practice, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process and heal from distressing memories or trauma. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping, to help the brain reprocess stuck or overwhelming experiences in a safe and structured way. This approach can reduce the emotional intensity of past events and support lasting emotional healing.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach, which means I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for every client. My goal is to support you at your own pace while helping you feel seen, heard, and in control of your healing process.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help build awareness of thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. By learning to observe experiences without judgment, one can develop greater emotional regulation, reduce stress, and respond more effectively to challenges. Mindfulness supports a deeper connection to self and promotes lasting change through increased self-awareness and compassion.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that supports clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and developing healthier, more effective ways of coping. This approach can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, and stress-related challenges.
