I am a native New Yorker and a graduate of Fordham University’s School of Social Work.I have decades of experience working with diverse populations. I bring a wealth of knowledge, insight, and clinical depth to my practice. Throughout my career, I have found this work to be deeply rewarding, with my role as a therapist being the most meaningful. I am honored to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can engage in soul-searching, experience moments of epiphany, feel validated, and gain greater self-understanding. I believe that meaningful growth happens when clients are met where they are, with empathy and respect, and I work diligently to support that process. Central to my practice is the importance of self-care, which I actively embrace and practice weekly. I view self-care as essential—not optional—and it is a cornerstone of the conversations and work I share with clients. Outside of my professional life, I am a proud parent of two children, both graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, who have successfully launched into their own independent lives.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a nonjudgmental, supportive space where they are truly heard and respected. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your therapist’s role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. You can expect: • A safe, confidential environment where your feelings are validated • Compassion, empathy, and genuine curiosity about your story • Respect for your lived experiences, values, and personal boundaries • Gentle guidance and insight without pressure or judgment • Support in identifying patterns, building coping skills, and fostering self-awareness Therapy is a space where it’s okay to be unsure, emotional, or even silent. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What distinguishes my therapeutic approach is my commitment to creating a warm, compassionate, and emotionally safe space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I understand that healing begins with trust, and I prioritize building strong, authentic therapeutic relationships that allow clients to show up as they are—without fear of judgment or pressure. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative. I help clients explore how past experiences, including childhood trauma, influence present-day thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work with clients to understand underlying patterns and gain insight into how they developed, empowering them to make meaningful and lasting changes. I support clients through life transitions, emotional challenges, anxiety, and depression by meeting them where they are and moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I encourage self-discovery, emotional awareness, and self-compassion while also helping clients develop practical tools to navigate everyday stressors and life adjustments. As a result of our work together, clients often report increased clarity, emotional regulation, self-confidence, and a stronger sense of personal agency. Many experience relief from emotional distress, improved relationships, and a deeper understanding of themselves. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients feel more grounded, resilient, and aligned with who they are and who they want to become.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am a behavioral health therapist who provides a safe, supportive space for clients to openly explore their feelings, concerns, and lived experiences. I work best with individuals who are navigating life transitions such as divorce, separation, empty nest syndrome, or career changes. I am also well positioned to support clients experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as those seeking deeper self-discovery and personal growth. I help clients explore the impact of childhood trauma and understand how those early experiences may be showing up in their adult relationships, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is grounded in compassion, insight, and collaboration, empowering clients to gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward healing and meaningful change.
