I have been in the social work field for over 20 years. Being a Social Worker is a great passion of mine. My focus is to help you heal from past experiences, life events, present situations. I describe the therapeutic relationship as if I'm on the passenger seat helping you maneuver this road in life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session entails an introduction, questions regarding reasons for seeking therapy at this time, history of mental health services if any, family history, social history, employment history, medical history. I also provide information about my journey to become an LCSW which includes my prior experience as a Social Worker.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to helping clients identify their goals is by asking specifically what they would like to focus on in sessions. In terms of reaching their goals, I provide interventions and strategies that my clients can use in order to meet their goals. I check in periodically on their progress to meet their goals. My communication style is clear, transparent, warm, direct at times when needed. I'm an active listener and provide feedback as needed. I provide a non-judgmental setting. My focus is to provide you with a healthy, healing environment where you can be yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I utilize a trauma focused, client centered approach to help process the emotions and feelings you are struggling with. I like to get to know my clients by learning about their childhood, life experiences. All of these shape us into who we are. It helps break patterns, identify self and heal. I primarily work with children, adolescents, and adults that have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety, depression and familial relationships. However, I also work with couples struggling with communication, infidelity, thoughts of divorce. Together, we'll work towards your goals and how to cope with daily challenges.
