New to Grow
My background is in working with individuals with addiction, persistent mental illness, trauma and PTSD. I have also been working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and ADD/ADHD. I have worked with young adults from roughly high school through to adults going through all of life's many changes. My background has previously been in working with agencies, before making the switch to private practice right around Covid.
For a first session, I try and create a relaxing and calming environment where hopefully trust and understanding are conveyed. I want you to feel comfortable and not judged as we form rapport.
My greatest strength is compassion and understanding for your experiences. I understand that life can be complex and difficult. In working together, hopefully we are able to make it easier to navigate.
I believe that each client is the expert on themselves. My main focus is on hearing and validating your experience and to help identify areas of interest. Often, we need an outside perspective to help clear up our preconceived ideas or notions. My approach is to help highlight how the daily stressors can get in the way of you living to your own expectations.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT to help address gaps or errors in thinking and behaviors.
