I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma and grief issues in children and adults. When our children struggle, we struggle too. With decades of experience working with children and families in many different life situations, I can help your child and you learn skills to help cope with life stressors. As a nationally certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral therapist, I am trained in evidence-based therapies that will help your family work through difficult situations. I also treat adults struggling to adapt after the sudden, traumatic death of a loved one.
In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and explore the specific challenges you are facing. I strive for my clients to leave the first session with at least 1 skill that can incorporated into ever day life. In subsequent sessions, we will work together to create a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime. For some, it’s a single incident, like a car wreck, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war or a natural disaster. Others have a long history of relational abuse and/or neglect, in addition to single-incident traumas. Whether you are looking for treatment for Traumatic Bereavement, PTSD, or Complex Trauma Treatment, I’m here to help.
I love working with clients who are eager to improve, but have not developed the tools needed to make this goal a reality. If you you feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious to change your emotional and mental health schedule an appointment with me.
EMDR is a therapeutic approach used to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, life stressors, and other conditions. You don't have to continue to live feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, angry, paralyzed, joyless, numb, disconnected, engaging in unhealthy relationships, self-sabotage. Therapy and EMDR can be highly effective in healing painful experiences so that you can feel peaceful and whole.
