New to Grow
Hi! My name is Danielle. I have a Doctorate in Psychology and a License in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked with clients in a number of outpatient settings since 2011 and have been in private practice since 2019. My specialties include childhood trauma/trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment, interpersonal conflict, family conflict and parent-child relationships. I am a client led therapist using cognitive behavioral interventions.
The first session can feel somewhat 'clinical'. The goal of the first session is for me to understand what brought you to therapy, what is most bothersome to you, and what you hope to accomplish. We will also spend time discussing 'housekeeping' (communication between sessions, late/no shows, any other scheduling questions) matters.
It is of the utmost priority that our sessions feel conversational. Starting and continuing therapy can feel serious, and many times it is; however, the process does not always need to be. My goal is for my clients to feel heard and seen while creating a safe place to challenge themselves to grow into the person they ultimately want to be.
Currently, my practice focuses on working with adults. Clients can present with a number of issues, including difficulty in relationships, feeling stuck, low and anxious mood, difficulty coping with stressors, feeling on edge or irritable, and difficulty with sleep.
Although I would consider myself an eclectic therapist, using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I rely heavily on cognitive behavioral and attachment theories.
