I use CBT to help clients identify inaccurate or negative thought patterns so they can improve their response to challenging situations and respond to them in a more effective way. This method has shown to be effective with for individuals dealing with depression and anxiety, as well as other mental health disorders.
I honor and respect each persons spiritual beliefs. When providing counseling from a Christian lens I offer clients the opportunity to explore the role of God in an individuals life, and explore the impact of their spirituality in their life and situation.
I have 10 years of experience working with individuals in the BIPOC community, as well as my own lived experience. When I provide therapy to clients in this group I am sensitive to their cultural norms and love to learn from my clients how their culture impacts their daily life.
