New to Grow
As a clinician I am exactly what you see; I enjoy family, football, and Marvel movies. Recently, I made the difficult decision to transition my practice to fully remote. Although I miss face-to-face contact with clients, I feel strongly that it is possible to build an authentic and productive relationship through virtual sessions. I work with clients that are 18 years or older. My therapeutic focus is to work with those who are struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, depression, grief and loss, and difficult life transitions. I utilize a wide array of therapeutic tools and techniques that I have learned over time. There is no cookie cutter therapy tool for an effective therapeutic process. I believe that the most important and driving aspect of therapy is the relationship between the client and clinician; a relationship that fosters feelings of safety and trust, two qualities vital for therapeutic purposes.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first therapy session can be a little daunting. Honestly, it is just an introduction. I like to get to know my clients and not just their struggles. We'll talk about who you are and what it is that brings you to therapy. I'd like to know about your family, who you live with, your education and your job or current academic progress as examples. We want to be sure that we are a good fit and will work well together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe that my greatest strength as a therapist is my authenticity. I am genuinely passionate about the therapeutic process. I believe that the relationship built between the clinician and the client provides the greatest strength since trust is key to progress. I am continuously growing as a clinician as more methods and theories are developed and more research is being completed in the mental health field.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am excited to work with clients that are willing to explore not just the psychological aspects of mental health and healing but also how those struggles can be held within the body. I am passionate about helping clients grow in self awareness through the development of appropriate coping skills, insight into life struggles, and also awareness of ways in which to relieve anxiety and stress in the body.
Eclectic
I pull from multiple therapeutic methodologies throughout the therapeutic process. Therapy is not the same process for all people, so there is a need for the therapy to match client needs.
