I am practicing as a PMHNP in Ohio and Hawaii. My specialties include weight management, PTSD, and treatment-resistant depressive disorders. I have up close and real-life experiences of the effects of psychiatric disorders on the individual person and the family unit. As a military veteran myself, I understand PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma. I can provide second opinions and Nexus letters for veterans. I also specialize in caring for individuals who seek to improve their overall health with weight reduction and wellness strategies. I support my clients in making the best decisions for themselves and approaching mental health and wellness as a whole in a non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate manner.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction, and delve into the specific challenges you are facing. We can then make a rough outline of a treatment plan, pending your approval. You can expect me to prescribe a medication on your first visit. I believe medication can be an integral part of healing and help people function better until they can do better.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
Empathetic listening, motivational interviewing, and an extensive knowledge base of effective medication strategies including ketamine therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Mental illness can have a profound effect on weight and overall health. I have in-depth knowledge of both which allows me to be creative in order to work with you to formulate an integrative wellness plan that will work in your favor.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You appreciate direct, honest communication. You are not looking for empty words or vague promises; you want grounded insight and practical tools that make a real impact. I’m here to walk alongside you—to guide, support, and empower you in your journey. While I can’t do the work for you, I’ll be here to help you navigate each step with care, honesty, and compassion. Healing and growth take time, patience, and courage. There may be challenges along the way, but when we face them with openness and consistency, meaningful change becomes possible. As your provider, medication will be a part of your treatment plan, and I ask for your commitment to both adherence and transparency. Your honest feedback—whether medications are helping, causing side effects, or falling short—is essential to finding the right approach for you. Our work together is built on mutual respect and clear boundaries. This is a space for honest reflection, steady commitment, and honoring the process—without pressure, judgment, or perfection. If this approach resonates with you, I’d be honored to partner with you in your healing. If not, that’s okay too—finding the right fit is an important step on the path to wellness.
