Mark has been a Clinical Social worker for the past 16 years working in the US and UK with various client populations from Babies needing organ transplants to adults with End Stage Renal Disease. The common thread with those unwell as he puts it, has been their connection or lack thereof with positive thoughts, habits and social network. The lack of these associations generally leads to decline over time. He realized that he was most passionate about helping people stay or return to wellness rather that assisting the disease state. Mark actively pursues the link between effective nutrition and solid Mental Health and Wellness, his aim is the help clients feel like the best version of themselves. Helping with effective wellness plans regarding general health, weight loss and disease reversal process.
We will do a temperature check, we go over what to expect and discuss your goals for yourself. I always stress that it is very important that you feel comfortable, as this is the only way you will open up and we can get at the root cause of issues. Healing and growth takes work so we start discussing what that means.
Each person and situation will be different. I start with the person in their environment using cultural and social supports as needed. Strengths perspective, what is it that you are good at. Mindfulness thinking, processing as well as meditation. As well as positive affirmations. My own tool I created called "Owning My Life".
Depression, Relationship struggles, Anxiety, Body positivity issues, end of life as well as acceptance of major illness.
My Ideal client is the person who is sick and tired of being sick and tired. The client who is actually ready to put the work in to get the change they are looking for on a wholistic level mentally, spiritually as well as physically.
