LCMHC, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I’m a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. I take a compassionate and personalized approach, using evidence-based techniques like CBT, grief therapy, and Christian counseling (if desired) to help you navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and growth. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, loss, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk with you on your journey. In addition to counseling, I am an approved Qualified Supervisor (QS) in North Carolina, offering clinical supervision to associate-level counselors working toward licensure. In addition to counseling, I am an approved Qualified Supervisor (QS) in North Carolina, offering clinical supervision to associate-level counselors (LCMHCAs) working toward independent licensure. My supervision style is supportive and collaborative, focusing on helping new clinicians grow in confidence, develop their clinical skills, and navigate ethical and professional challenges. I draw on my own experience in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and family dynamics, to guide supervisees in building effective, compassionate, and ethical practices. Whether you are seeking guidance on clinical interventions, case conceptualization, or professional development, I provide a safe and structured space for growth as you move forward in your counseling career.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s most important to you and start laying the foundation for your treatment plan. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we’ll do together.
What stands out about my approach is the balance of compassion and practical tools I bring to each session. I tailor therapy to fit the individual, drawing from methods like CBT, grief counseling, and Christian-based support when requested. I focus not only on helping clients understand why they feel stuck, but also on how to move forward. Clients often share that they feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to make lasting changes in their thoughts, relationships, and overall well-being.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—whether due to anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, or major life transitions. I work well with clients who are open to self-reflection and ready to make meaningful changes, even if they’re unsure where to begin. My approach is supportive, faith-friendly when requested, and focused on helping clients build healthier thought patterns, strengthen relationships, and rediscover purpose and confidence in their lives.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and goal-focused, supporting clients in building healthier coping skills and improving emotional regulation. I’ve used CBT effectively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. In addition to counseling, I am an approved Qualified Supervisor (QS) in North Carolina, offering clinical supervision to associate-level counselors working toward licensure.
I offer Christian counseling to clients who wish to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. By combining biblical principles with evidence-based approaches, I help clients explore spiritual growth, healing, and purpose. I provide a supportive space for clients to process challenges through the lens of their faith.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from various evidence-based methods to best meet each client’s unique needs. This flexible style allows me to tailor treatment by combining techniques from CBT, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and other modalities to support lasting growth and change.
In grief therapy, I support clients as they process loss, honor their loved ones, and navigate the emotional complexities of grief. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore feelings, adjust to life changes, and find meaning and healing at their own pace.
