Hello, my name is Adam, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with over 16 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan—from childhood through late adulthood. I have worked in a variety of settings, including nonprofit organizations, psychiatric outpatient programs, and services supporting veterans, which has allowed me to support clients with diverse needs and life experiences. I believe therapy and coaching are powerful tools for creating meaningful change, whether you are building new habits or strengthening ones already in place. My approach is holistic and client-centered, recognizing that each person’s life, relationships, and challenges are uniquely their own. Together, we will identify the areas you would like to improve and develop a practical, personalized plan to help you succeed in your daily life. My style emphasizes collaboration, coaching, and accountability, ensuring you are actively engaged in the process. We work as a team to move you toward the outcomes you want, no matter the concern that brings you to therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and creating a comfortable, supportive space for you. I will take time to learn about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to gain from the process, and any current challenges or stressors you may be experiencing. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this session moves at your pace. We will also review some background information to better understand your experiences, strengths, and supports. I may ask questions to help clarify patterns, goals, and areas where you would like to see change. This helps us begin shaping a direction for our work together. By the end of the session, we will start identifying initial goals and discussing how therapy can best support you moving forward. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and collaborate with you on next steps so you leave with a clear sense of what to expect. The first session is about building trust, setting a foundation, and ensuring this feels like a good fit for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to coach you with clarity and purpose while holding you accountable for the changes you want to make in your life. Therapy is an active, intentional process designed to help you identify and understand the challenges impacting you—whether they stem from present circumstances or past experiences. By examining these patterns at a behavioral level, you gain the insight and tools needed to change how you think, act, and feel. I am fully committed to supporting you throughout this process. Our work together is built on mutual respect, collaboration, and honesty, creating an environment where meaningful growth is not only possible, but expected.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready to take an active role in their growth and personal development. My ideal clients are motivated for change—even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start—and recognize that something in their life needs to shift. Clients who benefit most from working with me value structure, honesty, and practical guidance. They are looking for more than a place to vent; they want direction, insight, and accountability. They are open to feedback, willing to examine patterns in their behavior, and committed to applying what they learn outside of session. I work well with people who understand that meaningful change takes effort. They show up consistently, engage in the work between sessions, and are open to exploring both present challenges and past experiences to better understand how these influence their daily lives. If you are seeking clarity, balance, and forward momentum—and are ready to do the work required to create lasting change—my approach may be a strong fit for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. CBT helps us identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and provides clear, effective tools to create change in your day-to-day life. In our work together, we will examine how your thinking influences your actions and emotional responses. We will identify unhelpful or automatic thought patterns, explore how they developed, and actively challenge them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. At the same time, we focus on behavior—because lasting change happens when insight is paired with action. My approach is structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I take an active coaching role, helping you apply what we discuss in session to real-world situations. You can expect accountability, skill-building, and practical strategies that support progress between sessions—not just during them. CBT is especially effective because it is transparent and empowering. You will understand why we are using specific tools and how to use them independently over time. The goal is not just symptom relief, but building skills you can rely on long after therapy ends.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes respect, collaboration, and the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. From this foundation, meaningful change becomes possible. Person-Centered Therapy focuses on understanding your unique experiences, values, and goals rather than placing you into a one-size-fits-all model. I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and authenticity, allowing us to move at a pace that feels right for you while still maintaining direction and purpose. While this approach is supportive, it is not passive. Together, we will clarify what you want to change, identify obstacles that may be holding you back, and develop practical next steps that align with your values. My role is to guide, reflect, and support you—while also encouraging personal responsibility and growth. The goal of Person-Centered Therapy is to help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity so you can make choices that feel more aligned and intentional in your daily life. Therapy becomes a collaborative process where you feel supported, empowered, and respected as you work toward meaningful change.
