I’m Cierra Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of BLOOM Mental Health Services. I specialize in working with high-functioning adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in survival mode despite “doing everything right." My work focuses on helping clients slow down, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with their emotions in a way that feels safe, practical, and sustainable. I offer therapy that is grounded, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s lived experience.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope will change. We’ll also talk about your current stressors, coping patterns, and what support has or hasn’t worked in the past. You don’t need to have the “right words.” My role is to help guide the conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and create a space where you can begin to feel grounded and understood. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and a pace that feels manageable for you.
My greatest strengths are my ability to help clients feel emotionally safe, seen, and grounded while also gently challenging patterns that keep them stuck. I’m especially skilled at working with people who are used to being strong for others, minimizing their own needs, or staying busy to avoid feeling. I integrate emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and practical tools to help clients move from simply functioning to feeling more present, connected, and in control of their lives.
I work with individuals who feel stuck in survival mode, constantly overwhelmed, on edge, or emotionally drained, even when life "looks fine" on the outside. Many of my clients experience anxiety, irritability, burnout, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. They often find that traditional coping strategies haven't fully helped because their stress is held not just in their thoughts, but in their body. In our work together, we focus on helping you understand your nervous system, release stored stress, and build a deeper sense of safety, clarity, and self-trust so you can move through life with more ease and intention.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve how you feel and respond to life’s challenges and self-doubt.
Trauma-Focused CBT
With Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) we will combine CBT with trauma-sensitive principles to help you safely process trauma while building coping skills and emotional resilience.
Somatic
With somatic therapy, we will be using body-based techniques to release stress and trauma that may be stored physically, increasing emotional regulation and body awareness.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
With mindfulness-based therapy I will assist in teaching you how to stay present, regulate emotions, and cultivate calm through guided awareness and self-compassion practices.
