Hello, I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Raven Viola, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with six years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through life’s challenges. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, navigating anxiety, processing trauma, or struggling in your relationships, you are not alone, and you do not have to figure it out by yourself. I take a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, grounded in strengths, to help navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relational struggles. My goal is to empower you with practical tools and deeper self-understanding so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session with me, you can expect a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you are encouraged to show up exactly as you are. We will begin with introductions, and I will walk you through how the therapy process works so you feel informed and comfortable. I will review confidentiality practices, answer any questions, and discuss what you can expect from our work together. We will then explore what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope will feel different in your life. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing how we can work toward them in a way that feels realistic and supportive. We will also talk about consistency, session frequency, and your preferences to ensure our work fits your needs and schedule. From the start, I approach therapy with the intention of fostering independence and growth. We will create a plan that supports steady progress and regularly evaluate how you are doing. As you build skills, insight, and confidence, we will work toward discharge in a thoughtful and empowering way, ensuring you feel prepared to maintain your growth outside of therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a provider include building strong, trusting relationships through empathy, active listening, and authenticity. I create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. My trauma-informed, integrative approach allows me to meet clients where they are and provide a balance of insight and practical tools to support meaningful growth.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, attachment wounds, generational patterns, family conflict, and major life transitions. Whether I am supporting a child struggling with big emotions, an adult navigating identity and direction, or a family working to improve communication and connection, my goal remains the same. I want you to feel understood, capable, and hopeful. I am best positioned to serve individuals and families who are ready to engage in healing work that honors their stories and strengths. We will work as a team to identify and practice tools as we gain deeper insight into the root of your goals. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic space where my clients feel truly seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. By learning to reframe distorted cognitions and develop healthier coping strategies, clients gain insight and tools to reduce anxiety, manage negative thoughts, combat self-doubt, and cope more effectively with emotional overwhelm.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to enhance clients’ motivation for change by creating a supportive space that encourages self-exploration. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I help clients uncover their personal values, strengths, and reasons for change to empower them to take meaningful steps aligned with their personal goals.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is used help clients create space for difficult emotions and reduce avoidance by fostering mindfulness and self-compassion. By identifying their core values and committing to purposeful action, clients develop greater psychological flexibility and resilience, even in the face of uncertainty.
Trauma Informed Care
I implement a trauma-informed care lens that emphasizes emotional safety, trust, and empowerment throughout the healing process. By integrating inner child work, parts work, attachment theory, and somatic techniques, I support clients in gently processing trauma at their own pace without re-triggering. This approach honors each client’s resilience and fosters a compassionate, collaborative path toward healing.
