I strive to help each client find an individualized path that will bring them towards their wellness goals and alleviate the distress that keeps one feeling stuck, alone, and hopeless. You can feel better and it is my honor to help you get there.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my goal is to have a true understanding of who my client is, what the main issue is that they wish to address, and their goals for the future. I am happy to answer any questions during this session about the therapeutic process & modalities I utilize. The first session is the best opportunity to set expectations and goals, and discuss what has been helpful, as well as unhelpful in the past. I want to ensure that I know your personal goals and desires for the outcome of therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a provider, I am completely judgement free; I appreciate the struggles that we have gone through and want all client to feel acknowledged, seen and respected. There will never be any guilt or shame during sessions with me. I strive to help people see their best selves and work towards how to achieve their goals and become the person they aspire to be. I appreciate a diverse clientele and will always look for the positive, while being honest about any maladaptive thoughts/behaviors that may present themselves. I am very committed to my clients and will be there with them as an advocate and source of support every step of the way during the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am excited to work with anyone who acknowledges that they need to make a change, even if they don't know what that change may be. I have worked with adults and adolescents , as well as couples towards their pursuit of wellness and recovery, and appreciate all aspects of life that affect someone from being their best self. I create a judgement free zone where all issues noted are valued and each individual will be respected.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to challenge beliefs and subsequent behaviors that add to mental and emotional distress. Reframing one's beliefs about the self can relieve psychological burden and provide a more positive view of the self, experiences and relationships. I have utilized CBT for 15 years to treat various disorders, including depression, anxiety and trauma, and value the positive results.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive processing is a valuable tool that can reshape how we view traumatic events, thus lessening the psychological impact past trauma has on us. I utilize this technique with clients who suffer from PTSD.

Compassion Focused

I believe that the journey to healing must come from a place of compassion and empathy. In truly understanding the impact that experiences and mental conditions have on my clients, I can connect with them in a meaningful way to aid the therapeutic process.

Couples Counseling

Couples Counseling provides a unique and essential place for partners to re-evaluate what they mean to each other, the dynamics of their relationship and their personal role. I use emotion focused language to have couples communicate their needs, wants and expectations honestly in a safe space. I have found the benefits of couples counseling to be of great value, resulting in lasting changes.

Gender-affirming therapy

Gender affirming care is an essential service that supports and affirms a person's gender identity, which may differ from their sex assigned at birth. I strive to be a fierce advocate for those in need, whether it's navigating the resources available or seeking mental and emotional well-being and stability during the process.

A great first impression for my first time back into therapy. This is someone I’m actually planning on sticking with just off of the first interaction.

Elisa is very relatable and she’s likely an empath because you can feel that she cares. She’s had some creative solutions for me I couldn’t come up with on my own. She feels like a life coach too. Most weeks I genuinely feel like I’m waiting around until my appointment because I have something new to tell her. I also like that she remembers so much of what we’ve talked about previously. She will repeat things I said word for word sometimes. Elisa either has superpowers or takes great notes ☺️
