I want you to have the life you deserve! I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master's of Social Work from Norfolk State University. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations including adults and adolescents, helping them navigate various life transitions. With a deep understanding of human behavior and the complexities of the human mind, I specialize in areas of expertise and therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based approaches.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My first objective is to always hear about what kind of support you are looking for in your healing journey. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I aim to empower clients to meet their optimal wellness.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Throughout my career, I have always focused on being culturally competent, compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered. As a Clinical Social Worker, I approach therapy through a holistic lense.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Identifying the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to develop a stronger self-awareness of maladaptive symptoms.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Figuring out ways to stay grounded in the present through increased awareness, non-judgemental observation, acceptance, and self-compassion.

Motivational Interviewing

A client-centered, goal-oriented approach to help individuals resolve ambivalence and strengthen their motivation to change behaviors, particularly those that are harmful or unproductive.

EMDR

This approach will help you reprocess difficult memories, sensations, and feelings. Additionally, this treatment method can help with identifying emotions that are stored within our body.
