New to Grow
I am Dr. Raquel Outland, and I look forward to helping you! I am a licensed professional therapist with a Master's degree in Community Agency and School Counseling, and a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology in Georgia. My experience comes from public school setting and private practice in community mental health. I am comfortable working with all populations. The ultimate goal is for you to begin to feel better and empowered moving in a positive direction. I look forward to talking with you soon.
“In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you here, what’s important to you, and what you’d like to see change. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll work together to set a starting point and move at your pace.”
“What stands out about my approach is that I focus less on ‘fixing what’s wrong’ and more on building on what’s already working in your life. Using solution-focused methods, I help clients recognize their strengths, uncover resources they may not realize they have, and create clear steps toward meaningful change. This approach is often uplifting, practical, and results-oriented, which means clients usually begin to notice progress more quickly than they expect.”
“I specialize in working with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change but unsure where to begin. My approach is solution-focused, which means we’ll concentrate on your strengths, your goals, and what’s already working in your life. I’m best positioned to serve clients who are motivated to move forward and open to exploring new ways of creating meaningful change.”
I am Dr. Raquel Outland, and I look forward to helping you! My counseling approach is solution-focused as I believe in focusing more on the problems you’re experiencing at this current moment and collaboratively working together to develop effective strategies for improving overall life satisfaction. “I incorporate solution-focused therapy by guiding patients to envision preferred outcomes, explore what is already working, and develop small, actionable steps. This strengths-based approach fosters resilience, self-efficacy, and measurable progress in a relatively short time frame.”
