Welcome! My name is Dariah, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 2 years of licensed clinical experience. (6 years of clinical experience in total). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2015 and my Master’s degree in Counseling in 2017. My clinical focus includes grief/loss, depression, and anxiety. My goal as your provider is to create a space free of judgment. You deserve a space for healing and the opportunity to cultivate that space within yourself. We will work on allowing ourselves to fully experience our feelings and to get the most out of our lives while we have them. Practice office hours: Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm PST.

To acknowledge that we're not always going to have the answers, but trust that we are exactly where we need to be in our healing.

First session

My initial focus is to learn more about you and what you hope to gain from our time together. We will discuss your expectations for therapy and determine whether this feels like a good fit moving forward. If this feels right, please do not hesitate to reach out or book an intake appointment. I'm excited to meet you and walk with you on your journey!

Strengths

I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and psychoanalytic techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and a few others. This allows me to tailor treatment to your unique needs while addressing both present concerns and underlying patterns. My goal is to support insight, growth, and sustainable change.

Ages 18+ : Grief/loss, trauma, depression, ADHD, anxiety, ASD, interpersonal relationship challenges, phase-of-life adjustments, family system exploration, cultural identity exploration, career/education exploration, chronic pain, burnout.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be utilized in our sessions to help identify automatic thought patterns and decrease negative self-talk. This approach can be used for individuals who experience depression or anxiety.

Psychoanalytic

You will find in our sessions that a psychoanalytic approach will be utilized to identify unconscious thoughts and their possible influence on one’s behavior.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing will be used throughout the course of treatment to gauge readiness for change and to strengthen one’s commitment to change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

A person-centered approach is often utilized in my treatment to provide positive regard and support my client in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and goals. Normalizing and validating one's experiences has been shown to foster self-awareness and promote autonomy in decision-making

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I utilize IFS in treatment to help clients explore and identify parts of themselves that may influence their emotions, thoughts, and behavioral patterns. My role is to facilitate this exploration process free of judgement, and to discover healthier ways of responding to our emotions/behavioral patterns.
