Taking the first step toward personal growth is a brave and meaningful decision, and I’m here to support you on that journey. I hold a Master’s in Psychology from St. Francis College and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University. As a Clinical Supervisor, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through life's challenges and mentoring future therapists. I specialize in working with people who are ready to look inward, whether you're navigating anxiety, healing from trauma, or simply trying to understand yourself more fully. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore what you’re carrying without judgment, shame, or pressure to fix yourself. With training in trauma-informed care, multicultural counseling and psychopathology, I bring both heart and skill to the work that we'll do together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect to feel genuinely seen and supported in a space where they can show up exactly as they are. Our work together will be guided by goals that matter to you whether that’s quieting self-doubt, finding more peace, or navigating relationships with more clarity and confidence. I aim to create a warm, honest, and affirming environment where healing feels both possible and deeply personal.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is grounded in a client centered foundation. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and truly seen. I blend this compassionate style with evidence based practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be holding you back and build practical tools to support meaningful change. My style is warm, down to earth, and interactive, and I specialize in working with anxiety, relationship challenges, self worth, grief, depression, and life transitions. At the core of our work is a goal to help you feel more connected to yourself and more confident moving through the world.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who struggle with generalized anxiety, are navigating major life transitions, seeking clarity in their life, experiencing relationship issues, or need to process past traumas that can cause stress, anxiety, depression, and/or feelings of being stuck.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my work, I’m drawn to ACT because of its balance between mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based action. I use ACT to help clients notice and make space for difficult thoughts and emotions rather than trying to suppress or fight them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT when clients benefit from a structured, goal-oriented approach. I focus on helping clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and we work collaboratively to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my work, I draw on DBT when clients need a structured, skills-based approach to managing intense emotions, impulsivity, or relationship difficulties. I appreciate that DBT balances acceptance and change, and I use that framework to help clients both validate their emotional experience and build new, effective coping strategies.

Psychodynamic

I incorporate psychodynamic principles when clients are interested in exploring deeper emotional patterns, attachment themes, or longstanding relational dynamics. In my practice, this often involves gently examining how early experiences influence current behavior, exploring recurring patterns in relationships, and paying attention to the emotions and reactions that emerge in the therapeutic relationship.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered values form the foundation of my therapeutic approach. I prioritize creating a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply heard and understood. By offering unconditional positive regard and showing up authentically, I aim to support clients in accessing their own inner resources and capacity for growth. Even when I use more structured modalities, person-centered principles guide the tone and relationship of my work.
