(she/her)
I'm a nationally certified licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my master's degree from Columbus State University and have been practicing for over ten years. I'm also certified in autism education through Liberty University. I have experience working with various forms of trauma (several certifications), depression, anxiety, chronic illnesses, domestic violence, addictions, substance abuse, and life transitions.
In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and begin to establish a therapeutic alliance. I will go over any questions that you may have about me and my experience, your expectations for therapy, etc. I will also gather background information as we work together to establish your goals and objectives. From here, I will implement a treatment plan that will be a sort of blueprint for us moving forward.
I have always been very compassionate and empathetic, and I believe in empowering others to reach their full potential by recognizing and developing the tools and resources, both internal and external, that they may not realize that they already have within and around them.
I love to work with any and everyone! When you meet with me, you are in a safe and nonjudgmental space. If you're feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, grief-stricken, dealing with a chronic illness, dealing with the effects of unresolved trauma, etc., I'm here to offer you the support, compassion, and tools needed to overcome whatever challenges you may be facing.

I've only been to one appointment so far but I was so impressed with how our session went. I felt like I was talking to a friend I've known for years vs. a therapist who just asks questions. I felt so comfortable the entire time, even talking about difficult topics. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a safe space.

I’m so glad to have Venetia as my new therapist. She is very attentive and nonjudgmental. Venetia listens to understand because she asks follow-up questions. She always provides many exercises and solutions so I’m not “stuck” with doing one thing. I’m able to try different things to find out what works for me and my healing. I always look forward to my sessions with Venetia. I never have to question if she cares about me and my issues. Venetia is very genuine, and it shows. I appreciate her.

Venetia is THEE BEST therapist I've ever had! I've genuinely never been so excited to see her every week, and thanks to her navigating life as a young woman has been easier. Talking to her is extremely easy and its just like talking to my best friends. She's a very open and real individual that will not only support you, but also give you the guidance you need. She also has no problem providing solutions you may not even think of, and never judging you for anything. I absolutely LOVE her!!!
