We each have experiences from early in our life that have left us wounded. As adults, we tend to recreate these wounds to feel more in control and hope for a better outcome. In my work with clients, we start to map out these unconscious cycles, identify how to enact change and combat any obstacles that may arise. Hi, my name is Sadie, and I am a licensed counselor. I received a Master's degree from USF's Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Whether you are dealing with trauma, grief, generational wounds, depression, or anxiety, I am here to offer guidance and support every step of the way. In my practice, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to tailor therapy to each individual's needs. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, gain insight into your experiences, and develop the necessary tools for growth and healing. I am committed to providing personalized and empathetic care to help you achieve lasting positive change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Grow asks you to complete an intake form before our first session which I review beforehand; But generally, I like to utilize the first session as a "get to know you" experience. I have lots of experience completing intakes for individuals just needing a kind person to talk to and I love being able to be that person. There are policies and paperwork we have to cover in the initial session, but my hope is that each client leaves feeling more hopeful than when they first started the session. Please know that the initial session is also for you to ensure that I am the right fit as your therapist. Feel free to ask my questions about my techniques and ways of facilitating therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having a background in Marriage and Family Therapy but focusing on the Individual gives me a better understanding of some of the cycles we go through in our closest relationships. If you find that you keep on dating the same people, take on the same role in your family dynamics, or are constantly running into the same issues in your friendships, my therapeutic modalities are going to be a perfect fit for you to break through and make a change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am looking for highly motivated clients who are ready to put in the work to make positive changes in their life. Therapy is one of those things where you get out of it what you put in!

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Although I am trained in different modalities including Exposure therapy, EFIT, and CBT, I find that the most important part of therapy is just having a safe and inviting place where you can be heard and understood. I tailor interventions to each person, but the framework I operate from is that each person is on their own journey and they are the expert of their experience.
