Hello! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist serving clients all over California. I have been seeing clients for over 15 years. I help people improve their mental health and relationships with themselves and each other so that they can live their best lives. I am passionate about the work my clients do and fully believe in the ability of therapy. The life you want and the way you want to “be“ in it is possible!
In our work together we will spend the first sessions getting to know each other, uncovering both your goals and ways of working together that are best for you. Though this does involve some traditional talk therapy we will also utilize some more interactive experiential methods to help you uncover things that will work right now for your current circumstances. I will provide skills, and personally designed exercises for you to practice a new way of being and develop positive healthy habits for good mental health between sessions.
My background in holistic psychology, allows me to guide you in a variety of approaches in a multifaceted approach that targets various aspects of your life creating a well balanced approach. I am not like many other therapists that just sit and listen and ask an occasional question. I believe in creating interactive ‘experiments’ to give you a new experience of what’s happening with you in the present moment. This helpsto get at the source of what’s causing your issues. I often draws on theories like IFS, Gestalt, Process Therapy, CBT, art, music, Somatic Experiencing, Ecotherapy and others. I have a background in parenting and am a former educator which gives me an intimate understanding of how difficult it can be while raising children, especially when being weighed down by mental health challenges. I have been told that I have a calming presence. I am compassionate and gentle, but will also call you out on unhealthy behaviors, patterns, or avoidance will need to be.

Therapy can often help us get unstuck, by uncovering the patterns and behaviors that prevent us from reaching our goals and feeling content. Therapy can also provide skills for better time management and navigating through anxiety and other challenges like depression, boost our confidence, and help uncover the best parts of ourselves so that we can achieve the life and well-being that we want.
