PMHNP, 15 years of experience
Hi! I have over 30 years of nursing experience across various settings, including hospitals, home health, and long-term care. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in primary care. I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the AANP and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certified by both the AANP and ANCC. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
In our first session, we’ll start with introductions and then focus on the challenges you’re currently facing. This will help us build our therapeutic relationship and allow me to create a personalized plan for us to work through in future sessions.
I am great at connecting with patients and making them feel comfortable and understood. I focus on creating a safe space where people can openly share their challenges. What sets me apart is my dedication to truly listening and working together to create a tailored plan that fits each person’s unique needs.
I focus on helping individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. My approach is holistic and patient-centered, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. I’m dedicated to using evidence-based practices to empower my patients toward complete wellness—physically and mentally.
In my practice, I use supportive therapy to create a space where people feel safe, understood, and encouraged. It’s especially helpful for anxiety and depression—focusing on strengths, building healthy coping skills, and offering steady emotional support. It’s all about meeting you where you are and helping you feel more grounded and resilient over time.
I use mindfulness-based therapy to help people slow down, check in with themselves, and stay grounded in the present moment. It’s a great way to manage stress, ease anxiety or depression, and respond to life with more calm and clarity.
In my practice, I use motivational interviewing to support individuals in exploring their personal values and goals for change. This collaborative approach helps enhance motivation, build self-efficacy, and guide patients toward meaningful, self-directed progress.
I use psychoeducation to help people better understand what they’re going through—whether it’s anxiety, depression, or ADHD. When you know what’s happening in your mind and body, it’s easier to manage symptoms and make empowered choices in your healing process.
