New to Grow
I believe that seeking help is one of the bravest and most powerful choices a person can make. I’m deeply committed to supporting my clients as they find relief, rediscover joy, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. With nearly 12 years of experience in the field and a significant amount of lived experience overcoming adversity, I bring both professional expertise and genuine empathy to my work. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in 2016 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2019. I began my career as a crisis worker in child welfare before transitioning into hospital and inpatient settings, where I focused on crisis intervention and acute psychiatric care. In 2021, I opened my private practice. I specialize in working with individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder and other mood or personality disorders, those experiencing chronic suicidal ideation, depression, or self-harm, and individuals with trauma histories. My therapeutic style is compassionate, strengths-based, and grounded in honesty. I primarily use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also integrating elements of reality-based therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Every session is tailored to the unique needs of the person sitting across from me.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is really about getting to know you—who you are, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will feel different in your life. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve tried before, and what you want from therapy moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; you set the pace. I’ll ask some questions to understand your history, your current challenges, and your strengths. We’ll also talk about what therapy with me looks like, what approaches I use, and how we can work together in a way that feels supportive and effective for you. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what our work together could look like and what your next steps might be. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and grounded—like you’ve taken a meaningful first step toward change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I combine professional expertise with meaningful lived experience, which allows me to connect with clients on a deeper, more authentic level. I understand what it feels like to struggle, and I also know what it takes to move forward. That combination of empathy and insight shapes the way I show up in every session. My therapeutic style is compassionate and strengths‑based, but also direct and honest. I won’t sugarcoat things, and I won’t minimize what you’re going through—I’ll help you face it with clarity and support. I use structured, evidence‑based approaches like DBT, along with elements of CBT, reality‑based therapy, and solution‑focused work, tailoring each session to what you need most. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m grounded, real, and able to hold both their pain and their potential at the same time. I believe deeply in your capacity to change, and I’m committed to helping you build the skills, insight, and resilience needed to create a life that feels more stable, meaningful, and hopeful.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you’re here, you might be carrying more than most people can see. Maybe you’ve been navigating intense emotions, mood swings, chronic suicidal thoughts, self‑harm urges, or the lingering effects of trauma. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and felt misunderstood, dismissed, or like your struggles were “too much.” You’re looking for someone who can handle the depth of what you’re going through without judgment—and who can help you build real, lasting change. You’re my ideal client if you’re ready for a therapist who is both compassionate and honest. Someone who will sit with you in the hard moments, offer structure when you need it, and help you develop the skills to create a life that feels more stable, meaningful, and hopeful. You don’t have to show up with everything figured out. You just need a willingness to try, to be curious about your patterns, and to take small steps toward the life you want. If you’re open to approaches like DBT and appreciate a therapist who is straightforward, strengths‑based, and deeply invested in your growth, you’ll likely feel at home here. If you’re ready to feel understood, supported, and genuinely empowered, you’re in the right place.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I am a certified DBT therapist. I utilize DBT and CBT treatment along with skills handouts to treat bipolar, mood disorders, ADHD, severe depression, suicidality, and self-harm. DBT has also been effective with trauma, anxiety, and life transitions.
