(she/her)
I am a licensed therapist helping individuals navigate anxiety, relationships, and life transitions with clarity and confidence. I create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard, and I combine evidence-based practices with real-world understanding to support meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're feeling stuck or simply want to grow, I’m here to help you move forward. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about human behavior and a strong desire to help others feel seen, understood, and empowered. Through my own life experiences and academic journey, I witnessed the profound impact that compassionate, skilled support can have on a person’s healing and growth. I pursued formal training in Social Work, earning my degree from The University of Alabama, and completed extensive clinical experience in diverse settings—from community mental health to private practice. Along the way, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a deep appreciation for the unique stories each client brings into the room. Becoming a provider has been both a personal and professional calling. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey, helping them navigate challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
The first session is all about getting to know each other in a safe, welcoming space. I’ll start by explaining the therapy process, answering any questions you have, and going over important topics like confidentiality and what you can expect moving forward. We’ll spend most of the time talking about what brings you to therapy—your current concerns, any goals you have, and a bit about your background. There's no pressure to share everything right away; we’ll go at your pace. My goal is to understand what’s most important to you and begin building a strong, trusting foundation for our work together. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about what the next steps might look like, and you’ll have a better sense of whether this feels like the right fit for you.
My communication style is warm, compassionate, and direct. I listen deeply and reflect back what I hear with clarity and care, creating space for insight and honest conversation. I aim to strike a balance between being supportive and gently challenging, helping you explore new perspectives while feeling safe and respected. Whether we're unpacking emotions or working through patterns, I’ll meet you where you are—with empathy, curiosity, and a steady, grounded presence.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply seeking personal growth, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change, greater self-awareness, and improved emotional well-being.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, guiding them toward more balanced thinking and effective coping strategies. Through a collaborative and structured approach, I support clients in developing practical skills to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and achieve their personal goals.
Using Person-Centered Therapy, I create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. I prioritize empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to empower clients and support their natural capacity for growth and self-understanding.
In my work with clients, I incorporate psychoeducation to help them better understand their mental health, symptoms, and treatment options. By providing clear, evidence-based information, I empower clients to make informed decisions, reduce fear or stigma, and actively participate in their own healing and growth.
