LPCC, 6 years of experience
Hi! I'm Maggie. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California, and a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT). I have a Masters from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I have been working as a therapist for the past six years. I have worked with many different populations in the past including Alzheimers patients, Children in the hospital and their families, neurotypical school aged kids as well as special ed. I have also worked with couples and adults. When clients are interested, I like to use art and music as a tool in the therapeutic process.
I love to learn about my clients background and family dynamic. Then I like to offer a space to explore whatever is on the clients mind. I feel like offering a person-centered and client-led approach is ideal in allowing the client to find healing.
Having worked with kids and families in so many different capacities for the past twenty years, I have developed great ways to help clients identify challenges and create a plan that leads to measurable progress.
I love working with kids and their parents. Before I became a licensed therapist I spent over twenty years working with parents and kids in many different capacities, mostly as a nanny, youth group leader and sleep trainer. As a therapist, my clients love setting goals, learning new coping skills and improving relationships. They enjoy the safe and comfortable environment I create for them to explore, learn and heal.

She's great, honest, present, and empathetic. She also keeps her notes handy and current, which helps me pick up on threads I might have lost, or if there is extra time, it makes it easy to circle back to something pressing from last week.
I believe that therapy should be client-led and person-centered. As a therapist I like to be my client's biggest support system, offer a safe space for them to explore and heal.
