About me

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana, I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, or mood-related disorders. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic Therapy, tailored to your unique needs and life story. I offer a safe, supportive, and LGBTQ-affirming space where all parts of you are welcome. Healing can be messy and nonlinear—but you don’t have to go through it alone. I aim to build a collaborative relationship rooted in trust, presence, and possibility.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a gentle starting point. We’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change, and what you need to feel safe and supported. I’ll ask questions at a pace that feels comfortable to you—there’s no pressure to share everything at once. Together, we’ll begin making sense of your experiences and identify the goals that feel most important for your healing. You can ask me anything about my approach, and we’ll create a plan that fits you—not the other way around. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more grounded than when you arrived.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and safe to be themselves. I blend compassion with evidence-based structure, helping clients explore difficult emotions while also giving them practical tools they can use right away. Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating identity, or living with intense emotions or personality-related challenges, I stay present, patient, and attuned. Clients often tell me that they appreciate my grounded energy, my ability to understand the deeper layers of what they’re dealing with, and the way I hold space with both warmth and clarity. I show up consistently, openly, and authentically—so you can do the same

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to begin healing—even if they’re not sure where to start. I work well with adults who have experienced trauma, whether it’s a single event or a long history of chronic stress, family conflict, or unsafe relationships. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to break old patterns, and together we work toward restoring safety, clarity, and confidence. I also have a strong passion for supporting LGBTQ+ clients and providing a space that is affirming, grounded, and free of judgment. You deserve a therapist who sees and respects all parts of your identity, and who understands the unique stressors and strengths that come with your lived experience. I often work with individuals navigating personality disorders—especially borderline personality disorder—and those struggling with emotional regulation, intense relationships, or shifting moods. My approach combines compassion, structure, and evidence-based tools to help you build stability and create meaningful change. If you’re looking for a therapist who is trauma-informed, LGBTQ-affirming, and experienced with complex emotional needs, I’m here to meet you where you are and support you on your path forward.

My treatment methods

Somatic

Somatic therapy is a gentle, body-based approach that helps you understand how stress, emotions, and past experiences live not only in your mind, but also in your body. In our work together, we’ll explore the physical sensations, patterns, and cues your body uses to communicate. By slowing down, tuning in, and using tools like breathwork, grounding, and mindful movement, we help your nervous system settle and create space for real healing. This approach is especially supportive for clients navigating trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Sessions move at your pace and are collaborative, empowering, and deeply respectful of your boundaries. My goal is to help you feel more regulated, present, and at home in your body—so you can move through life with greater clarity, ease, and resilience.
