LCSW, 24 years of experience
Hi! I'm a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Ohio and Georgia. I received my Masters from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I currently treat the mental health needs of adults struggling with any combination of the following: anxiety, depression, adjustments/life transitions, grief/loss and trauma to help them as they find healing and wellness.
During our first session, we'll spend time discussing different aspects of your life, I'll learn more about your history and together we'll discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll develop a plan specific to the goals you set to work towards and you'll know your next appointment date before we finish our initial meeting.
With over 20 years experience in the mental health field, I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from all walks of life and helping them along their journey to wellness. My awareness of the uniqueness of each individual is one of my greatest strengths in building a rapport. I believe my clients know themselves best and I truly value their input, we work together to help them reach their goals.
I enjoy working with a wide variety of individuals and am sought out by those seeking a compassionate, accepting, open-minded, and holistic provider. My clients appreciate my integrative approach to support their individual uniqueness. They often feel overwhelmed and as though they need to make big changes yet are not sure where or how to begin.

Joanna has helped me unlock 45 years of trauma. She did it in a way that made me feel safe and protected. I will forever be grateful for her guidance along my journey!

Joanna is the first therapist who truly gets me. As a fellow yoga teacher with PTSD, autism, and chronic illness, I needed someone trauma-informed and body-aware. She’s affirming of self-diagnosis and neurodiversity. She integrates EMDR, talk therapy, and mindfulness, always honoring my need for clarity and regulation. With her help, I now recognize and manage suicidal triggers and release long-held physical tension. I followed her to a new practice for a reason—she’s exceptional.
EMDR is used to treat a variety of issues ranging from reprocessing traumatic events to improving self-esteem.
CBT is a common thread within most therapy work, I utilize CBT based on the specific need of the individual.
My approach for grief work pulls from various modalities and applies to the uniqueness of the individual client.
