Dr. Malachi Oledibe is experienced clinical therapist, excellent listener with relaxing therapeutic mood. He integrates both insight-oriented and skills-based in his therapeutic approaches. He gently challenges clients to explore the root cause of their symptoms, gaining new awareness into their emotional, mental and relationship patterns. Having served as a consultant and clinician for over 34 years at local Community mental Health, hospitals and in school settings, Dr. Oledibe is uniquely skilled in working with those experiencing chronic pain, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and other serious mental illnesses. He brings a special awareness to the healing power of the mind-body connection, and his office serves as a safe harbor to freely process pain and find relief. Dr. Oledibe is committed to maintaining an inclusive practice. With a background in general clinical practice. With over 34 years of clinical and therapeutic experiences, Dr. Oledibe is positioned to continue to serving children from ages 8 and up, young adults, adult population, especially individuals experiencing emotional and mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood swings, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, bipolar, self-esteem, addiction and abuse. Therapeutic goals are to improve skills, resolve negative thoughts, improve daily functioning and overall mood
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to assist my clients to identify and modify unhealthy or negative behaviors and improve their overall mood and productivity
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
As evidence-based intervention, I use DBT help reduce chronic suicidal thoughts, or intensive emotions and abate self-harming and unproductive behaviors and elevate relationship through distress tolerance, emotional regulations, mindfulness and interpersonal skills
Trauma Informed Care
I use Trauma informed care to promote clients' safety, healing and empowerment, shifting the focus from victim perspective to personal strengths, while resisting another trauma
Grief Therapy
I utilize grief therapy to assist individuals process spiritual, physical, emotional and social response to loss. I also combine CBT to help my patients process intense and emotions and obstacles in grieving process
