Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in South Central Indiana, and I've been in the field now for over a decade. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Tulane University and specialize in trauma and neurodivergence. I am an Autistic and ADHD person, veteran, and proud LGBTQ+ Community member. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, anti-racist care. I hold a deep respect for the ways identity, culture, and systemic forces shape our experiences, and I aim to create a space where all parts of you are seen, respected, and supported. When I'm not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, advocating for social justice, reading, being in nature, and attempting to pet every dog, cat, bird, lizard, etc. that crosses my path.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and what goals you might have for working together. Knowing what your day-to-day challenges and experiences are will help us determine the right plan of action for helping you feel better.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
A particular strength of mine is being able to see the patterns of behavior and environmental stressors that cause us to struggle while working with patients to determine safe and effective treatments for root causes of issues.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
As a neurodivergent person myself, I enjoy working with other neurodivergent folx to figure out daily challenges and how to work best with our brains. Trauma is another specialty of mine, and working with individuals to overcome the experiences they've faced is a privilege.
Trauma Informed Care
What surrounds us, shapes us, and I believe in taking a root-cause perspective when approaching trauma. We will work together to examine how what happened to you changed your brain and behavior and find practical mind-body approaches for resolving stored trauma.
Relational
We are all humans struggling to do our best every day, and that's okay. You're not alone in this, and we can figure it out together.
Mind-body approach
For healing to be necessary, we must connect brain and body in our work. I utilize both bottom-up and top-down processing and treatment modalities to ensure overall healing for mind, body, and spirit.
