I have 20 years of experience working with a diverse array of clients of various ages, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender identities. I specialize in working with clients who have depression, anxiety, PTSD and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Using a combination of evidenced based therapies, primarily focused on altering maladaptive ways of thinking or providing you with tools to use, and mindfulness practices, I can help you to achieve balance in your life. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, time will be spent focusing on getting to know you and exploring what led you to seek out therapy so that a beginning determination can be made about the focus and goals for therapy.

My biggest strength lies in working with minority populations (eg., women, POC and LGBTQIA+ population). I identify with all of these populations and enjoy helping anyone within them to feel more empowered.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Addressing patterns of thoughts is considered to be an important part of assisting clients in learning to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Various mindfulness methods such as deep breathing, meditation and visualization are taught and practiced to help increase or improve coping skills.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Consideration and sensitivity to cultural factors are included as a part of the therapeutic environment and the impact that they may have on presenting concerns.
