New to Grow
Hi there! You deserve a safe place to land—and someone who truly listens. I’m Tajae, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Harvey Counseling & Consulting, PLLC. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Fayetteville State University, an HBCU that shaped the way I show up: with care that’s real, respectful, and rooted in community. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges while rediscovering their sense of strength and balance. Whether you’re managing ADHD, facing tough work environments, or coping with relationship and family stress, I’m here to help you slow down, gain clarity, and create a path forward that feels right for you.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building trust. I’ll ask questions about your background, what’s been weighing on you, and what goals you’d like to set for therapy. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that reflects your priorities and helps therapy feel purposeful and aligned with your needs.
My approach is trauma-informed, solution-focused, and collaborative. Clients describe me as grounded, approachable, and easy to talk to. I bring humor, compassion, and authenticity into the room because I believe therapy should feel supportive—not intimidating. Together, we’ll identify what matters most to you and develop realistic strategies to help you grow, heal, and move forward.
I work with clients who are feeling overwhelmed by major life decisions, navigating ADHD, or dealing with complex work and family dynamics. I also support individuals managing anxiety, burnout, or life transitions who want to feel more centered and confident. My goal is to help you find clarity, create balance, and strengthen your capacity to handle life’s challenges with resilience and self-trust.
I help you explore how your thoughts shape your feelings and actions. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and practice healthier ways of thinking to support the changes you want to see in daily life.
I teach skills for distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and acceptance of what is outside of your control, so you can feel more balanced and less reactive to daily stressors.
I meet you where you are, honoring your lived experiences while helping you build self-compassion, resilience, and space for growth.
I support you through the challenges of change, helping you reconnect with your own reasons for wanting it and strengthening your confidence to take the next steps.
