With over 10 years of experience working with children and youth, I am passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and valued. I understand that trust is the foundation of meaningful therapy, and I prioritize building strong, authentic relationships that help children and teens feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. I meet young clients where they are—developmentally, emotionally, and socially—using approaches that are engaging, strengths-based, and responsive to their unique needs. Whether a child is navigating big emotions, anxiety, behavioral challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to foster a sense of safety and connection that allows healing, growth, and confidence to emerge

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session is all about getting to know you. We’ll take time to explore who you are, what’s important to you, and what brings you to therapy—at a pace that feels comfortable and safe. There’s no pressure to dive into the “hard stuff” right away. My goal in our initial sessions is to begin building a strong, trusting relationship. I believe that meaningful therapy happens when you feel understood, respected, and supported. By creating a solid foundation of trust and connection, we set the stage for deeper work and lasting growth in the sessions that follow.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths as a therapist include being approachable, kind, and deeply respectful of each client’s unique story. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without fear of judgment. I am a thoughtful, attentive listener who values understanding your perspective before offering guidance, and I am committed to building and maintaining deep, trusting relationships that provide a safe foundation for growth. At the same time, I care enough to have the hard conversations when they matter. Growth often requires honesty and courage, and I will gently challenge you when needed while always maintaining compassion and respect. I will encourage you, support you, and walk beside you as you work toward your goals—celebrating progress and helping you stay grounded through the challenges along the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with children and teens who are ready and willing to grow, even if they’re unsure where to begin. They may be navigating identity, relationships, academic stress, anxiety, or life transitions, and they want a supportive space to better understand themselves and move forward with intention. I work best with adolescents who are open to reflection and interested in making meaningful changes in their lives. They’re looking for someone who will walk beside them—offering guidance, encouragement, and honest conversation—through the different stages and challenges of adolescence. Together, we build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create a path toward greater confidence and resilience.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Using trauma-informed care means I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration in every session. I strive to create a space where adolescents feel respected, heard, and empowered to move at their own pace. I am mindful of triggers, power dynamics, cultural context, and the ways trauma can show up as anxiety, depression, anger, withdrawal, perfectionism, or risk-taking behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative self-beliefs, and develop practical strategies that support healthier coping and decision-making. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and skills-based—empowering clients to build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore and strengthen their own reasons for change. Through a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach, I create a space where ambivalence can be safely examined and personal values can guide decision-making. Rather than directing or persuading, I ask thoughtful questions, reflect insights, and highlight strengths to support clients in building confidence and commitment toward meaningful, self-driven goals.
