(he/him)
I’m a licensed counselor with a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education, licensed in North Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey. I specialize in psychoeducational testing and evaluations, including assessments for attention, learning differences, autism and related concerns. I enjoy helping clients make sense of complex questions about how they think, learn, and function, and translating results into clear, practical recommendations. I also work with anxiety, OCD, and depression using evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Behavioral Activation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and biofeedback.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know what’s been going on and what you’re hoping to gain from working together. I’ll answer questions, review options for testing or therapy, and outline next steps so there are no surprises. The session is collaborative and low-pressure, with an emphasis on clarity, comfort, and making a thoughtful plan that fits your needs.
One of my greatest strengths is helping clients gain clarity, whether through thorough, well-explained assessments or structured, evidence-based therapy. I’m skilled at translating complex testing results into practical, actionable recommendations that clients can actually use. In therapy, I take a thoughtful, skills-based approach, drawing from ERP, ACT, Behavioral Activation, and biofeedback to help clients build confidence, tolerate uncertainty, and make meaningful changes. Clients often appreciate my calm, collaborative style and my focus on clear next steps rather than guesswork.
I’m a good fit for clients who want to better understand themselves and are looking for clear, practical support. This includes individuals seeking testing for attention or learning concerns, as well as those working through anxiety, OCD, or depression. I tend to work best with clients who appreciate a collaborative, structured approach and who want to leave sessions with greater clarity and useful tools they can apply outside of therapy.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-focused treatment is a brief and goal-oriented therapy approach that focuses on identifying and working toward solutions to specific problems. In this therapy, clients are encouraged to explore exceptions to their issues, envision their preferred future, and develop actionable steps to achieve their goals. It's a forward-looking and strengths-based approach that emphasizes clients' strengths and resources in finding solutions to their challenges.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use Exposure and Response Prevention as a structured, evidence-based approach to help clients gradually face feared thoughts, situations, or sensations while reducing compulsive or avoidance behaviors. My approach is collaborative and paced, focusing on building insight, tolerance for uncertainty, and confidence over time. Exposures are planned thoughtfully and adjusted to each client’s readiness, values, and goals, with an emphasis on learning that anxiety can rise and fall without engaging in rituals or safety behaviors. Throughout treatment, I provide clear guidance, coaching, and support so clients feel empowered rather than overwhelmed as they build lasting skills for managing OCD and anxiety.
Biofeedback
I use biofeedback to help clients better understand and regulate their body’s stress responses, such as muscle tension, heart rate, and breathing patterns. By receiving real-time feedback, clients can learn how their thoughts and emotions affect their physiological state and practice skills to improve self-regulation. I integrate biofeedback as a supportive tool alongside therapy, helping clients build awareness, reduce physical stress symptoms, and develop practical strategies for managing anxiety and related concerns.
