About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and over 25 years of experience providing therapy to individuals. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and I'm dedicated to offering high quality care in a safe, supportive environment where insight, healing, and personal growth can flourish. My approach to therapy is grounded in support, insight, and collaboration. I work with clients to address current challenges and long-standing patterns, offering guidance and compassion along the way. Together, we explore your story, identify your needs, and develop strategies to help you reach your personal goals. Feeling heard and understood is at the heart of healing, and it’s something I strive to offer every client. I approach each person with genuine curiosity and compassion, seeking to understand the experiences that have shaped who they are. I believe everyone deserves the chance to become their best self and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, clients can expect a comfortable, welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, your history, and what you’re hoping to change or improve. This is also a chance for you to share what has or hasn’t worked in the past, your goals for therapy, and any questions you may have about the process. We’ll explore what you’d like support with, identify what feels most important to address, and begin developing a plan that fits your needs. I’ll explain my therapeutic approach, discuss confidentiality, and make sure you feel informed and comfortable moving forward. Most importantly, the first session is about building a safe and trusting space—one where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin taking the first steps toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance of compassion, practical tools, and deep understanding. I blend evidence-based methods with genuine warmth, helping clients feel supported while also learning skills they can use in daily life. I focus on meeting each client where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and creating a safe, grounded space for healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am especially equipped to help individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and are seeking a compassionate space to understand themselves better. I support clients coping with anxiety, stress, grief, self-criticism, or relationship challenges, and who want to build healthier patterns and feel more grounded and empowered in their daily lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we work to reduce distress by shifting unhelpful thinking patterns and building healthier coping behaviors.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I ise ACT to treat clients by helping them create a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions so they can live more fully and move toward what matters to them. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, ACT teaches clients how to accept inner experiences, reduce struggle, and act in alignment with their values.

Compassion Focused

I use (CFT), often called compassion therapy to help clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves, especially when they struggle with self-criticism, shame, trauma, anxiety, or depression.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I use culturally sensitive therapy (also called multicultural or culturally informed therapy) to support clients by recognizing, honoring, and integrating their cultural identities, lived experiences, and values into the therapeutic process. It ensures therapy is respectful, relevant, and responsive to the client’s worldview—not just the therapist’s.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is used to treat clients by combining techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches and tailoring them to each person’s unique needs, symptoms, personality, and goals. Instead of relying on one single modality, I draw from several evidence-based methods to create a flexible, personalized treatment plan.
