New to Grow
Are you or your child facing learning, social, behavioral, or mental health challenges? You’re not alone, and seeking support is a powerful first step. With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with both neurodiverse and neurotypical children, teens, and adults to improve educational, social, mental health and behavioral functioning. Together, we’ll identify your unique strengths and concerns, set meaningful goals, and create a personalized and strength-based plan. My philosophy is to provide a validating and safe therapeutic journey together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me to get to know you and create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe my greatest strength is the depth of experience in the mental health field and life. Briefly, my experiences include: * Working with children, youth, families and young adults across all levels of care, who are/have been special education (Chief /Regional Manager of CYF, ret., San Diego and Orange County Behavioral Health). * Working with military families stateside and abroad (DOD contract, USO). I am also an ex-dependent. * Working with first responders (Psychiatric Emergency Response Team and SDPD). * Currently, I provide private therapy and consultation to schools with complex needs. I also provide nation-wide training to school and mental health professionals. Lastly, I have been a teacher (k-5), parent (2 and 4 legs), and am a member of the neurodiverse community.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in supporting neurodiverse children, youth, families and adults. I also enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and those adjusting to life transitions. Additionally, I work with the first responder and military family community. I am passionate about helping clients build self-confidence and develop a stronger sense of self.
