With more than 40 years experience in the mental health field, I have served the Las Vegas Valley Community since 2004, specializing in unique stress management solutions for children and adults of all ages. I offer a variety of techniques to enhance self awareness and empower people to take charge of their mental and physical health. I am now offering both in-office and virtual sessions by appointment only. I use a wide variety of tools including neurofeedback to help you quiet your mind and pay better attention, reduce symptoms of fight or flight & muscle tension & better understand what triggers panic, anxiety & feelings of helplessness. In our first session, clients can expect relatable conversation free of psychobabble focused on straightforward conversation focused on assessing what you feel you should work on. We'll talk about your experiences with therapy in the past if you've been in therapy before- what went right and what went wrong. Then we'll establish a starting point that feels do-able and go from there.
What makes me unique is my down to earth presentation and my life experience (I'm 71 and still feel like I have imposter syndrome even though I've been doing this for many, many years. I'm an out of the box thinker, with a wierdly twisted sense of humor but an uncanny way of helping to cut through to the heart of a problem with insight and practical tools. I use "Tapping or Emotional Freedom Techniques" to help clients learn ways to speak to themselves in ways that encourage honest self-acceptance and awareness by tapping on energy meridians that help clients feel "unstuck" and grounded.
In particular I work with many older adults on coming to terms with past life choices, coping with retirement, new relationships and changing family roles, especially where there is estrangement or changes in mobility or physical capacity.
